Frequently Asked Questions About Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing
We have published some of the most frequently asked questions about our window cleaning services, and their answers, for your convenience. If you have a question that is not answered in this section, feel free to send your question via email or call for a prompt answer.
I've hired your team to take care of pressure washing my driveway, can they do my window cleaning as well?
Yes, we can! But window cleaning will require a gentler approach. Though pressure washing is useful to remove oil, stains, and soil from concrete, pavement, and walkways, it's too harsh and would damage your windows. Instead, our team will have the equipment on board and available to apply our soft washing technique to your windows and screens.
My dryer has been acting up, and someone suggested a dryer vent cleaning. Why can't I just clean my lint trap?
Cleaning your lint trap is the first line of defense to dryer maintenance. However, the actual dryer vent (which is tubing that reaches from your dryer to an exterior wall) can become stuck and clogged. You'll need to leave dryer vent cleaning to our professionals. If not done correctly, clogged dryer vents can lead to a fire.
Should I hire a professional to have my windows cleaned or do it myself?
Regular professional cleaning prevents your windows from becoming etched or pitted over time. Professionals clean without leaving streaks or residue behind and have a trained eye for faulty windows. Hiring a professional also results in time savings for you. We have all the right equipment to accomplish the job at a much faster pace with amazing quality.
Is a professional window cleaning service better than a typical "maid" service?
The short answer is emphatically, "yes!" The longer explanation is that many maids and standard cleaning services use Windex and a paper towel which does not clean your windows. Their process rubs the dirt around, creating a static charge, which attracts the dirt and can scratch the glass. At Champagne Reflections, we use tools that have been known to be the most effective in the window cleaning industry. Our products are biodegradable and leave a pleasant sparkle.
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
For a residential exterior window cleaning, we recommend two times per year. We recommend at least once a year for an interior cleaning unless you smoke in your home, have small children, or pets. In this case, we can work with you to maintain highly exposed windows on a regular basis. The more often you commit to having your windows cleaned, the greater savings we can offer you!
What does your window cleaning cost?
Getting your windows professionally washed is very affordable. As you're likely to understand pricing is dependent on size, shape, ease of access, and number of windows to be cleaned. The best thing to do is contact us for a free estimate and tell us more about your job.
Why should I have both the interior and exterior cleaned at the same time?
We strongly recommend cleaning both the interior and exterior of your windows at the same time to see the full effect of a perfectly cleaned window. A smear or smudge on the interior not cleaned by a professional could leave you dissatisfied with your service. You will be amazed at the difference it makes!
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Yes, including ladders, we provide all necessary equipment and supplies for window washing, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning services.
What if it rains after my windows are cleaned?
Professionally cleaned windows really shouldn't spot if it rains within a few days of the cleaning. Dirt makes your windows dirty, not rain. When the dust from landscapers, tree pollen, exhaust, etc. settles on your windows, rain drops move the dirt around, and after the rain dries, the dirt becomes much more visible. However, clean windows remain clean after the rain because once the pure rainwater dries, there is nothing to obscure your view.
Do I need to be home while you are cleaning my windows?
You are only required to be home when we are cleaning your interior windows. For your convenience, we leave the decision up to you if you would like to be present for an exterior cleaning. We will gladly clean your exterior windows if you choose not to be home. Just leave the screens where we will find them, and we will clean them, so they are ready for installation! An invoice will be sent via email for you to provide payment if you choose not to be at home.
