What Is Soft Washing
Pressure washing. Power washing. Soft washing. They're all so confusing. Are all of these washings the same?
The good news is the reliable pressure washing experts at Champagne Reflections in Snohomish offer both pressure washing and soft washing and are here to not only answer your questions but walk you through the difference.
Let's start at square one. You can't have soft washing without pressure washing. What you may or may not know about pressure washing is this amazing bit of machinery that uses a water wand that expels a low-pressure stream of water that cleans all your exterior surfaces without a high-pressure blast. It's all in the detergents we use.
Soft washing equipment is distinctly different than power and pressure washing equipment, and you may see soft washers with telescoping handles so that the super suds can easily reach roof eaves, second-story windows, and other sensitive and hard to reach places. Soft washing relies on environmentally-friendly detergents, solutions, and cleansing agents. Using almost a third of that water pressure does.
Additionally, soft washing is designed to kill mildew, fungus, algae, and other contaminants that might vacation in your vinyl siding and is especially important in maintaining the integrity and shelter of your roof.
Look around your neighborhood, and you may find houses with black patches and streaks. That is bacteria. It's called Gloeocapsa Magma (algae) and thrives in humidity and hot temperatures, spreading itself out and making itself at home on your shingles leading to roof rot, which can end up taking ten years off your roof. In addition, if you're thinking about becoming green, our solar panel cleaning experts can help when you make the jump to solar energy.
The important thing to remember is this. Exterior home maintenance is an ongoing process, much like raising children or pets. Homes need to be nurtured, loved, and cared for, and the only way you can do this is by allowing Champagne Reflections to fight prime time grime.
